Genesis Engineering Inc was founded in 1983 by a team that included professionals from the alarm industry and from leading computer manufacturers. Genesis was committed to providing reliable security that was easy to use. In 1983 Genesis was the first company to pioneer using the household phone and voice synthesizer to provide an intuitive interface for operating an alarm. Using their background in the computer industry, Genesis also pioneered remote diagnostics, the ability to remotely re-program and the ability to remotely reconfigure around defective components.  In 1986, Genesis was the first company to incorporate home automation into a security alarm. Based upon extensive field experience over 20 years, Genesis has continued to enhance these capabilities. Over this time, experience has taught us that home automation requires customer participation in the design. Although most of Genesis history has focused on selling through traditional alarm installation companies, automation requires that we now provide a more direct link to the customer through direct sales and retail.
